Fig Leaf Wrapped Roasted Feta Recipe

Fig Leaf Wrapped Roasted Feta

A delicious treat

Gosh, this is a fun one. Your creativity can be limitless. All of the yumminess you dream of wrapping into this feta - give it a go.

Ingredients

Feta

Fig leaves

Some ideas for spices to be roasted with the feta:
Chili flakes, garlic, lemon zest, peppers, olives, basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme….

Some ideas of toppings to be drizzled on afterward:
Honey, Olive Oil, Vinegar

Instructions

Step One

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Meanwhile, bring some water to a boil, and pour over your fig leaves. Leave for 30 seconds until pliable and then remove from the water. Remove the large thick stem at the end of each leaf.

Step Two

Lay half the fig leaves flat, overlapping to create a sheet on which to put your feta block. Add all of your other ingredients. Then wrap the leaves around the block. Add another leaf on top and fold along the edges until you have a closed package around your feta.

Step Three

Transfer your fig leaf-wrapped feta to a roasting dish. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Step Four

Once finished, remove from the oven. Unwrap the leaves to expose the feta block. Top with any drizzles. Serve hot. Enjoy.
