Lemon Balm Lemonade Recipe

Lemon Balm Lemonade

Herbally & Tart

The perfect cure for a hot afternoon.


Ingredients

A bunch of lemon balm

A headful of mint

sweetener of choice | to taste

6 cups of water | just below boiling

1 cup lemon juice | freshly squeezed

1 lemon | sliced

ice | to serve


Instructions

Step One

Wash the lemon balm and mint. Add to a heat-proof container along with your sweetener of choice (Often I use half sugar and half honey mixture, but you can also use straight honey, sugar, or agave…). Pour the hot water over and stir well until the sweetener is dissolved. Set aside to cool.

Step Two

Once cool, stir in the lemon juice. Taste. Adjust sweetness.

Step Three

Serve on ice with the lemon slices. Enjoy.
