GarIic Confit Recipe
Everything about this wins. Garlic slowly poached in a bath of olive oil until tender. Not only do you have incredible garlic cloves to play with, but the garlic-infused oil is an outstanding byproduct.
Ingredients
Garlic | freshly peeled cloves
Olive oil | enough to cover the cloves
If you are feeling creative - other options to add to the infusion:
chili flakes
peppercorns
fresh herbs | bay, thyme, rosemary
Instructions
Step One
Preheat the oven to 250. Place the garlic and any other seasonings (if adding) in a baking dish or small saucepan and add olive oil until all of the ingredients are fully submerged. Cover with foil and back until the garlic is tender 60-75 minutes. Let cool. Enjoy. Store in the fridge.
