Sauteed Lemon Garlic Greens

Quick and Delicious!

I eat greens every day. I love this recipe because it comes together in a pinch, I never grow tired of it, and it’s full of goodness. Popeye would be proud.


Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

chili flakes | to your heat preference

4 garlic cloves | smashed

6 cups fresh greens | some of my favorite choices are spinach, choi, or kale

2 tablespoons lemon juice | freshly squeezed

salt and pepper


Instructions

Step One

Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat. Add the chili flakes and smashed garlic and cook until the garlic fragrant and golden, but not brown.

Step Two

Add the greens, and quickly saute until they are wilted 1-2 minutes.

Step Three

Take the skillet off of the heat, add the lemon juice. Stir in. Taste. Season with salt and pepper. Enjoy.
