Garlicky Bok Choi Recipe
These greens come together in a flash. Though I am using bok choi here, feel free to substitute in any hearty greens you have on hand.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon canola oil
4 garlic cloves | chopped
1 shallot | chopped
1 pound baby bok choi | cleaned and sliced vertically into half (or quarters if larger)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
Instructions
Step One
Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the garlic and shallot and cook, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds. Carefully to not let it burn.
Step Two
Add the bok choi, soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of water and cover immediately. Cook for one minute.
Step Three
Uncover the pan, stir everything. Recover and cook until the bok choi is tender, about three more minutes. Remove from the heat. Taste. Adjust any seasonings. Serve hot. Enjoy.
